It is the Weekend

I am finally going to post a picture of my wifes `72 Schwinn.
I recently finished it last weekend, don't mind the big-butt saddle, I'm going to replace it soon with the original.

Today, the day after Yesterday

Yes it is true, I used another vacation day yesterday and I am not looking forward to work.
Elijah wanted me to stay home yesterday and I didn't mind since this time of year it seems though the drama increases while peoples fuses shorten.
I call it pre-winter stress, however right now you couldn't ask for a better temperature

Ride Home

Picture this, leaves rustling, birds chirping, a low rumble of a large creek, squirrels frolicking, ducks swimming, light breeze blowing.
Sounds like a relaxing day in the park huh?
Maybe, but tis describes my ride home today.

Working Fool

I should of taken today off when I had the chance ;8(/\
Hopefully every thing will go smooth.

Recovering

Today I am recovering, not from my twenty-six mile jaunt, no it is from my welding.
I weld, for a hobby, for repairs, etc... and I am usually really careful when it comes to fumes but.
Yeah, it was a combination of the welding fumes and exhaust fumes from a generator took me out!
I will definitely be more careful next time.
And before you ask, no I don't weld bike frames (until I get a tig ; )) and I don't braze them either.
I will start next spring however as my quest for a perfect bike takes me there.
  I did also get some time to hone my script writing skills better, (bash scripts that is).

Ride To My Parents

I rode to my parents yesterday.
It is a twenty-six mile trip, mostly uphill.
The first 11 miles was pretty fun afterwards not so.
I took a mini-tour on my Raleigh Tourist ;)

A very simple bit of literature and accompanied photo, it reminds me so much of growing  up.
For sixteen years my brother Nick and I lived in a 1948-1953 mobile home with a small addition.
Never fixed, in fact the house my parents built afterwards still is not complete.
My Dad never graduated and neither did Nick, or me.
It is still a constant struggle to complete a project or task.
It is not that I don't want to finish, it is almost like I can't....
